In June 2016 Bastiaan proposed the idea to singlehandedly start taking over the MVRDV account and provide followers with more content. In his eyes the account had even more potential than it already showed and to keep up with the competition improvements had to be made. Non the less because MVRDV already focused and worked on being a highly visual company. Therefore, Instagram should not be forgotten.

 

In a period of 18 months I was able to bring the account from 56,000 to 276,000 organic followers. In January 2020 the MVRDV Instagram account has around 450.000 organic followers and growing.

 

Press announcements, job openings, etc. Because of the growing awareness through social media it was easier for MVRDV to share news and reach their target groups.

 

In 2016 MVRDV won the Dutch Design Week Public Choice Award due to a Social Media Campaign Strategy which was designed and implemented by me.
